Lake & dam fountains

Lake & dam fountains on the Mornington Peninsula & Gippsland.

Otterbine aerating fountains for dams, lakes and larger ponds, supplied by Templeton Ponds across the Mornington Peninsula, Western Port, Phillip Island and South Gippsland. Small-pond units from $6,435.

Featured fountain

Otterbine All-in-One Small Pond Aerator.

One floating ½ HP unit that works as a fountain and an aerator. It suits dams and ponds up to about 3,000 m² and only needs 41 cm of water to float in, so it fits a lot of farm dams and acreage ponds.

Every spray nozzle comes in the box. It arrives set up as the Gemini plume, and you can switch to any of the other patterns, or to a horizontal mixer for circulation with no display, in under ten minutes.

Bigger dams and lakes

Larger aerating fountains.

For bigger or deeper water, we can supply fountains from across the Otterbine range.

Otterbine Sunburst aerating fountain on a lake in front of a building

Aerating fountains

1–5 HP · Sunburst, Gemini, Saturn

Strong oxygen transfer and a tidy spray for farm dams, estate lakes and golf course water, usually 1–3 m deep. They need at least 75 cm of water and come with a 5-year warranty.

Otterbine Genesis two-tier decorative aerating fountain on a tree-lined lake

Decorative aerating fountains

1–5 HP · Genesis, Phoenix, Omega, Tristar and more

Showier multi-tier patterns that still aerate the water. A good fit for a lake that's seen from the house, a venue or a cellar door.

Otterbine giant fountain sending a tall lit column of water up at dusk

Giant fountains

10–25 HP · Mystic, Polaris, Super Nova and more

Otterbine's largest floating fountains, for big lakes where you want a dramatic display. They need at least 1.2 m of water.

Need aeration without a fountain? Otterbine also makes mixers, aspirators and high-volume industrial aerators, plus white LED and colour-changing RGBW lighting for most fountains.

Why add a fountain

More than something to look at.

01

Healthier water

Spray and circulation draw oxygen into the dam. That helps fish and wildlife and can cut down on algae, weed and stale smells over a warm summer.

02

Water that keeps moving

Still water is where scum and mosquitoes settle in. A fountain or mixer keeps the surface moving all day.

03

A view worth having

A fountain gives the dam a focal point from the house or the driveway, and with lights you can enjoy it after dark too.

How it works

From first photo to a running fountain.

01

Tell us about your water

Send your suburb, a few photos, the rough size and depth, and how far the water is from power. Choose "Fountain or water feature" on the enquiry form.

02

We match the unit

We'll recommend the All-in-One or a larger Otterbine, plus a pattern, lighting and cable length to suit, then send you a quote.

03

Power, then install

Once a licensed electrician has set up shore power, the fountain is floated, anchored and run up.

A few useful answers

Fountain questions.

How much does a dam fountain cost?

The Otterbine All-in-One Small Pond Aerator is $6,435 supply only, with a 25 m cable and no lighting. Lighting and a longer cable add to that (see the price table above). Installation is quoted separately. For larger fountains, contact us for pricing on larger installations.

Is my dam big enough, or too big?

The All-in-One suits water up to about 3,000 m² and at least 41 cm deep. Larger 1–5 HP aerating fountains need about 75 cm of water, and giant fountains need 1.2 m. Send us the rough size and a few photos and we'll tell you which fits.

Do I need power at the dam?

Yes. These are 230 V mains units, and a licensed electrician needs to set up 230 V power at the water's edge. The fountain then connects with its own cable.

Will a fountain fix my green water?

It can help a lot. Moving, oxygenated water makes it harder for algae to take hold. Run-off, nutrients and shade play a part too, so we'll be honest about what to expect for your dam.

Does it need maintenance?

Very little. The All-in-One has no scheduled servicing. If the debris screen clogs, switch it off and clear it.

Do you cover my area?

We work across the Mornington Peninsula, Western Port, Phillip Island and South Gippsland. See our service areas, or tell us your suburb and we'll take it from there.
